"World Food Day: Future of Food Symposium" organized by Department of Food Engineering and FAO-Türkiye representation was held in Prof. Dr. Remzi Ülker Conference Hall on October 13th 2023 at 09:45-13:30.
As part of the 250th Anniversary Events of Istanbul Technical University, the "Future of Food Symposium" was organized on October 13, 2023, at the ITU Ayazağa Campus, Prof. Dr. Remzi Ülker Conference Hall, bringing together experts in the field to share their observations and views.
"Water is life, water means food. Leave no one behind!"
In the context of a theme determined by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and as part of the World Food Day events held annually, the symposium, with the motto "Water is life, water means food. Leave no one behind," featured opening remarks from our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Şule Itır Satoğlu, the Head of the Department of Food Engineering at ITU's Faculty of Chemistry and Metallurgy, Prof. Dr. Meral Kılıç Akyılmaz, and Dr. Ayşegül Selışık, the Deputy Representative of FAO in Turkey.
