Law on Expertise Article 4 defines the members of the expert advisory board. As a well-established University, from past to present, ITU members have been serving as a consultant, expert, and guide in different disciplines, both locally, nationally, and internationally. In addition, ITU Academic staff share their expertise to help many courts in Istanbul and Nationally to resolve all disputes and lawsuits related to their fields of expertise.

• Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Aeronautics and Astronautics Faculty Aerospace Engineering Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Melike Nikbay was elected as the Chairman of the NATO Science and Technology Organization Applied Vehicle Technologies (AVT) Panel Support Committee. This duty of Prof. Dr. Melike Nikbay will continue for two years until the end of 2023.

• Prof. Dr. İzzet Öztürk- He is a member of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality İSKİ Board of Directors and a member of the TÜBİTAK Science Board.
