Training of Trainers (ToT): Learning Station Training (ITU Academics) by ITU Center for Excellence in Education

As part of ITU’s vision to transform learning, the Learning Station Design Training for Academics was held at ITU MEM, Ayazağa Campus, bringing together faculty members from various departments. The program focused on promoting active learning approaches, shifting from traditional “teacher–student” roles to innovative “mentor–learner” relationships, and fostering collaborative knowledge exchange. A total of 11 participants attended the training, and all participants received certificates of participation.
The training introduced ITU’s Learning Stations Model, a modular and flexible framework aligned with the university’s digital transformation roadmap. Academics explored how learning stations can enhance student-centered learning, facilitate active engagement with course outcomes, and support interdisciplinary collaboration. The potential integration of these learning stations into EELISA communities or ITU seasonal schools for credit-bearing courses was also discussed.
