Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, in his presentation titled “Cities and Circular Economy with a Sustainable Development Approach” said:

“By 2030, nearly two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities. Urbanization creates significant opportunities for social and economic development and more sustainable living, but also puts pressure on infrastructure and resources, especially energy. The issue of water supply and disposal of wastewater is also very important. It is possible to implement the circular economy at the same time by creating a sustainable city/ecosystem with the concepts of efficiency and savings, and minimizing the use of resources.”
