In addition to its pioneering scientific work in the fields of climate change mitigation and sustainability, Istanbul Technical University continues to draw attention with its sensitive artistic activities on topics such as recycling and environmental awareness.

Organized by the ITU Zero Waste Club, the “From Textile Waste to Art Exhibition” will be on display from March 28 to April 6, 2024, on the ground floor of the ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering, presenting inspiring paintings created from the transformation of textile waste into an artistic material for visitors to enjoy.

Held in conjunction with the “International Zero Waste Day,” observed annually on March 30 by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, the exhibition features artistic works created by 20 students from the ITU Zero Waste Club in collaboration with artist Deniz Say during a workshop held at the ITU Ayazağa Campus Youth Office.
