İstanbul Technical University (ITU) Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal participated in the “Research Universities Meeting” and the “Higher Education Vision Towards 2030 Meeting” held by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on September 16-17, 2024, hosted by Gazi University. The meetings were attended by the rectors and vice rectors of 23 research universities included in the Research-Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program, as well as 6 universities included in the Candidate Monitoring Program.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mandal, contributed to the meetings, which were organized with the aim of developing a common roadmap to strengthen the future of our universities. He shared his thoughts and suggestions on developing national and international research collaborations in higher education with innovative models in the context of universities, industry, public sector, society, and sustainability, and on ensuring the more effective participation of undergraduate students in research activities.
