The 9th Materials Days, organized this year by the Istanbul Technical University Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Club (ITU MMMK), welcomed visitors at the ITU Ayazağa Campus, Faculty of Chemistry and Metallurgy, on May 7-8, 2024.
This year, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Deniz, who attended the opening of the event themed “Carbon Footprint,” emphasized in his speech that the programs organized with great dedication by ITU student clubs create valuable environments for thought. He stated that he found this year's theme meaningful and drew attention to the importance of reducing carbon emissions for the future of the world and the protection of the ecological order.
During the two-day event, representatives from leading companies in the sector met with young engineers and answered questions about carbon management practices in the sector. The event also featured glass, ceramics, and iron workshops.
