Istanbul Technical University (ITU) formed a delegation of faculty members from the Faculty of Mining following the methane explosion that occurred at the coal mine under the Directorate of Amasra Institution of the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) in Bartın's Amasra district on the evening of October 14, 2022, at 18:15. The ITU delegation traveled to Amasra after the incident to gather information from the authorities about the accident.
