The first of İTÜ Gender Equality Plan was published in the 2021-2022 academic year. The plan includes topics of recruitment policies, combatting discrimination, integration of gender into research, governance equity and more.

İTÜ committed to establishing a Gender Equality Unit in Women’s Studies Center in Science, Engineering, and Technology (WSC in SET) to monitor, evaluate and benchmark the objectives of the plan. The Gender Equality Unit will develop monitoring methods for equality status which can be used in the faculties and departments
