The traditional Fish Day brought together students, alumni, faculty members of the ITU Faculty of Maritime Sciences (YDO), Turkey's most established civil maritime school, and representatives of maritime civil society organizations for the 140th time on December 7, 2024. The Fish Day event, held at the Ruhi Sarıalp Sports Hall on the ITU Tuzla Campus, was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Durmuş Ünüvar, General Manager of Turkish Maritime Enterprises in the TRNC Cemalettin Şevli, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, Rector of Piri Reis University Nafiz Arıca, Dean of the ITU Faculty of Maritime Sciences Prof. Dr. Özcan Arslan, Chairman of the ITU DEFAMED Board of Directors Capt.
