
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) hosted an important event that contributes to the acceptance of science in society. TÜBİTAK 2204-A High School Students Research Projects Istanbul European Side Regional Competition brought together young researchers at Ayazağa Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center (SDCC).
Nearly 90 original projects, each more interesting than the other, were exhibited and competed in the fields of Biology, Geography, Values Education, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, History, Technological Design, Turkish, and Software. The projects were evaluated by a jury according to criteria such as presentation, posters, and stand layout.
The award-winning projects were announced on March 7 at a ceremony attended by all project teams and their advisor teachers. The ceremony was held simultaneously in all regions. Participating students and their advisor teachers followed the announcement of the results with excitement.
The award ceremony was attended by our Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata, 2204 High School Students Research Projects Europe Regional Coordinator and Department of Aeronautical Engineering faculty member Prof. Dr. Hülya Cebeci, Provincial Director of National Education Assoc.
