Addressing the concept of gender in its multiple dimensions and aiming to increase social awareness on this issue, ITU Women's Research and Application Center in Science, Engineering and Technology organized a panel with broad participation on the topic of "Gender-Sensitive Disaster Management" on March 7, 2023.

The agenda of the panel within the scope of the International Women's Day event was created by taking into account the Pazarcık-centered earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023. The panel on "Gender-Sensitive Disaster Management" was held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, between 15:00-17:00 at the ITU Süleyman Demirel Culture Center.

The panel focused on gender-sensitive disaster management and disaster resilience strategies before, during and after the disaster, while current experiences from the field were shared by experts on the subject and steps towards awareness, informing and raising awareness were discussed.
