Istanbul Technical University continues to attract attention with the achievements of its student teams in international competitions in 2024, which it declared as the “Year of Global Impact”. ITU Vefa Aviation Team, which participated in the US-based “Spaceport America Cup’24” rocket competition, in which 152 teams from 20 countries participated, won the first prize in the ten thousand feet category.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu congratulated the ITU Vefa Aviation Team, for which he is the consultant, for winning the first place in the inter-university rocket engineering competition with the following words: “I congratulate our ITU Vefa Team, which won the championship by leaving the world’s prestigious universities behind and wish them many more successes.” Click here for details.
