Establishment of the ITU Sustainability Office

The Sustainability Office works to enable our university to understand and deliver on its ambition to be leading socially responsible and sustainable university. Istanbul Technical University has promised to improve people’s lives and protect our only planet. We can only achieve this by working together with our students, academics, technicians, staff and partners.

ITU Sustainability Office aims to;

• To increase students' awareness of sustainability with the courses in the curriculum
• To design, build and operate a campus that minimizes its ecological footprint
• To implement innovative applications for energy, transportation, water, waste and food systems
• To adopt the principles of diversity and tolerance included in the policies
