UI GreenMetric

UI GreenMetric University Ranking System was launched in 2010 by the initiative of Universitas Indonesia in order to attract attention to issues of global climate change, energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation. Every year, numerical data is collected from thousands of universities around the world and universities are evaluated. ITU became “the world’s 47th most sustainable campus” in the international UI GreenMetric rankings in 2022. ITU is the first and only Turkish university that is in the top 50, and with this achievement, it became the only university to rank first in Türkiye for the sixth time.
