Approximately 300 presentations were made on 17 different topics at the symposium dedicated to Prof. Dr. Aral Okay, our retired faculty member at the ITU Eurasia Earth Sciences Institute who passed away on November 12. In addition, a special session was held on the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.

The symposium, where many topics in the fields of geosciences, atmospheric sciences and environmental sciences were discussed, ended with an award ceremony.

Following the symposium, the results of which will be presented to the scientific world in four books, a technical trip was organized with some of the participants to examine the North Anatolian Fault Line and Cappadocia Volcanism.
