The ITU Personnel Department's sustainability training sessions continue. In the second ITU Academic and Administrative Staff Sustainability training session on November 21, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Kahveci Karıncaoğlu, a member of the ITU Food Engineering Department, gave a training session titled “Sustainable Consumption and Food Waste”. Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero Hunger) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) in education have been examined within the scope of ITU.

In the first training session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Börte Köse Mutlu, Coordinator of the Sustainability Office, shared our university's sustainability vision and the environmental, social, and governance-based activities carried out across the campus with ITU staff in a training session titled “Sustainability Work and Sustainable Development Goals at ITU.”

All our staff members were invited to the training sessions, where the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations were introduced, and how these goals are integrated with ITU's research, education, and social contribution activities were explained.
